Is an assessment right for me?

For adults who want to understand the pattern.

You may have spent years finding some parts of everyday life harder than they seem to be for other people.

An ADHD assessment may be worth considering if longstanding difficulties with attention, organisation or impulsivity are affecting work, relationships or daily life.

These experiences can have many causes and do not by themselves mean you have ADHD. A proper assessment considers the whole clinical picture.

Our clinical model

Specialist clinicians, with psychiatric leadership.

Your assessment may be completed by an experienced pharmacist, nurse or doctor with specialist ADHD expertise and competency.

Our service is psychiatrist-led, meaning psychiatric expertise informs the clinical model, governance and escalation framework. It does not mean every assessment is personally carried out by a psychiatrist.

Collectively, clinicians within the team have completed thousands of ADHD assessments.

After your assessment

Diagnosis is not the end of the conversation.

Whatever the outcome, you should leave your assessment understanding what it means and what you can do next.

If ADHD is diagnosed

You receive a detailed report explaining the diagnosis, personalised recommendations and practical next steps. You can share the report with your GP if you wish.

Treatment and titration

Where clinically appropriate and available through our pathway, we can discuss treatment options, including medication initiation and titration, alongside non-medication support.

If ADHD is not diagnosed

You will still receive a clear explanation of the clinical outcome and recommendations about other possibilities or services that may be worth exploring.
